Is it ok to sell prints/originals of the comic book ladies I’m drawing right now? I’m not sure if anyone would even want a print lol but I just want to ask. I’ve been googling but most of what I found is just personal opinions on whether or not it’s ok to sell this stuff. I also see a lot of people selling this type of stuff, so I’m not sure haha

Are you only doing female super heros or bad ass female characters too? I’ve been imagining a badass Princess Leia with gun in one hand and light saber in another.

At the moment I’m sticking to female super heroes and villains (and I think I’m kinda in the DC comic universe?) heh. At a later date I may draw some badass female characters in general, like after I finish this little series and get some original stuff done. We shall see cause these are really fun haha ^^

It’s mostly colored pencil (Prismacolor) but I also attempted to add some acrylic washes as a base over the graphite…but only very little and with not a lot of water since I’m working on Bristol paper instead of my usual watercolor paper ;u;

Oh man…I wanted to draw/paint male versions of Flora and Fauna and I wanted to put tattoos on them (like Flora will have like plants and stuff and Fauna will have wildlife). Sounds like a pretty sweet idea in my head…but I’m trying to sketch out Flora rn (the picture I just posted) and he looks so angry and mean whyyy ;;______;;

And I’m not good with tattoos oh gosh;;;

when you draw your watercolor paintings what colors do you use for the skintones?

I don’t typically paint in watercolors, I use acrylic paint (not sure how much of a difference that makes since I’m just starting to test out watercolors) ^^

And for the skin tones I just use varying shades ~~(or tones? I’m not good with the terms haha)~~ of Burnt Sienna with some reds mixed in for certain areas. I’m still trying to find a good red paint because all of the reds I’ve used in the past have come out rather pink or orangey;;

I want to test out some different colors for skin though, so in future paintings I may add some blues and greens and stuff! yay!

I think I’m going to redo this one piece I started…I’m not liking the composition or the colors. I’m just not feeeeeeling it ;A;/ Gonna need to take the time to search for better references because painting water is super hard;;

Also fyi, I post a lot of wips and sketches over on my instagram account (@samosaur) because I feel like it would be annoying if I kept posting them on tumblr haha /sob/sob
