Anonymous asked: when you draw your watercolor paintings what colors do you use for the skintones?
I don’t typically paint in watercolors, I use acrylic paint (not sure how much of a difference that makes since I’m just starting to test out watercolors) ^^
And for the skin tones I just use varying shades (or tones? I’m not good with the terms haha) of Burnt Sienna with some reds mixed in for certain areas. I’m still trying to find a good red paint because all of the reds I’ve used in the past have come out rather pink or orangey;;
I want to test out some different colors for skin though, so in future paintings I may add some blues and greens and stuff! yay!
I think I’m going to redo this one piece I started…I’m not liking the composition or the colors. I’m just not feeeeeeling it ;A;/ Gonna need to take the time to search for better references because painting water is super hard;;
